Basem’s career spans over two decades, marked by a passion for tackling challenges across the GCC and North America. With a focus on education, healthcare, and real estate, he has led private equity and venture capital investments, driving growth strategies and operational leadership. Basem has advised on over 600M AED of M&A investments, collaborating with private families, investors, and institutions. His extensive network of over 250 school owners and high-net-worth individuals has enabled the successful execution of school improvement and development initiatives.

Currently, Basem is deeply engaged in the EdTech sector, having assessed hundreds of startups and launched an EdTech Venture Collective to consolidate a diverse portfolio, foster innovation, and support visionary founders. His ventures, including The Learning Curve Holdings, ReimaginED Collective, Aster Club Global Partners, and LBS Catalyzers, aim to transform education and create lasting impact.

An active mentor, judge, and speaker, Basem contributes to local and international forums, advancing venture capital and entrepreneurship discussions. He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Kuwait University, an EMBA in Strategy and Finance from London Business School, and additional certifications in international business. An environmental advocate, he is also a Certified Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
